And so the magic begins...

I never thought I'd have another blog. I first started my beauty (and occasionally lifestyle) blog Dainty Alice way back in July 2015, and have been perfectly happy with it up until very recently.

Then I got an itch.



An itch to expand, to create, but I just wasn't sure what. I had recently finished a month-long #LUSHTOBER special on my blog and it made me realise what I truly wanted to throw all my creative energy into - LUSH. But I still wasn't certain how to go about it.

I first created an Instagram account, @Wonderlushie, which suddenly grew to 500 followers in the space of a month. I loved crafting beautiful photos of LUSH products, and discovered another form of photography which I was determined to master - Bath Art.

When one of my posts randomly exploded with 600+ likes in the space of a few hours, I knew it was time for the next step and to start adding the words to go alongside the beautiful photos, so I bought a domain and launched Wonderlush.co.uk into the world.

As I've been blogging for such a long time previously, I do believe I know what I'm doing. I'm a whizz at web design and a dab-hand at SEO, so I'm aiming to build this blog up as fast and as well as I can. I'm determined!

 I have a lot of influences behind it, such as Lulu from LUSH Upon A Time and April who runs LUSHALot. But my biggest inspiration of all is Jen, who recently made the decision to start winding down All Things LUSH UK, leaving a gaping hole in the LUSH community as we know it. My aim is for Wonderlush to slot into that little gap, to try and pick up where she left off whilst putting my own spin on everything.

I want to make it clear that I don't want to be Jen, and I definitely don't aim to rip her off, but rather be seen as a sort-of quirky little sister, with all the same parts, just thrown together in a different way, filling in for her big sister when she's not around. The go-to place for all things LUSH will always be All Things LUSH UK, but hopefully Wonderlush can be seen as a cheeky little companion wherever possible.
